Gigi Hadid Reveals What’s in Her Fridge: Cooking ‘Is What Grounds Me’

Gigi Hadid‘s grocery list isn’t quite what you’d expect from a supermodel.
“In the fridge, I always have Evian, soda, orange juice, and lemonade,” she told Self magazine. “Then, I have my favorite snacks like salami, chips, hummus, carrots, and fruit.”
While fellow supermodels, like Gisele Bündchen, adhere to a super-strict diet, Hadid doesn’t shy away from carbs. Nostalgic sugary cereals like Lucky Charms and Froot Loops made her shopping list, and she even admitted to hitting the bread basket when away on shoots.
When she’s back home in L.A., Hadid also sticks to the staples: “If I don’t have milk and bread and eggs; then, I can’t deal,” she said.
The star, who knows how to make a mean burger, also likes to make good use of her kitchen. “Cooking and art is what grounds me,” she said. “It’s stripping it all back down to the simple things that makes me happy.” And she’s always up for a new dish. “I love challenging myself,” Hadid explained. “I honestly try to make different things all the time.”So, how does a model who eats dairy, carbs and sugary stay, well, looking like Gigi Hadid?
The 21-year-old counts on cardio to help maintain her killer shape. “When I moved to New York, going to the gym just to be on the treadmill was super boring for me,” she says. “I needed to find something that was exercising my brain. For me, that was boxing, and it became my new sport.”
